Overview

Holy Trinity School provides its students with a respectful learning environment, high academic standards, low child/teacher ratios, and a strong basis in our Catholic faith. Academics and religious beliefs are tied together in daily school activities. In our smaller school setting, we are able to give more individual attention and a feeling of community in our school. In preparing our students for their future, we have a technology program that allows them to expand their learning experiences beyond the classroom.

We live in a society where there are many difficult choices for a child to make. Working with parents, we help form a strong moral base so our students are able to make good choices in the future.

Goals

Top
  • To nurture the child in the Catholic faith and to promote a deeper reverence for the Liturgy and the Sacraments through participation and prayer.
  • To instruct in a manner that provides continuity between religious and academic areas.
  • To provide an opportunity for self-improvement through intellectual, physical, and social responsibilities.
  • To promote and incorporate religion, mutual respect, and personal responsibility into everyone's daily interactions.
  • To establish a curriculum that would allow for differences in our instructional procedures and methods of evaluation.
  • To encourage communication between parents, students, principal, and teachers especially through conferences, the weekly family folder, and the Home & School Association membership and participation.

Philosophy

Top

As a school community based on the Gospel message, our teaching efforts and concerns focus on the spiritual and intellectual growth of our students. We consider it our responsibility to assist parents in developing the whole child for Christian living.

Students are unique individuals. We promote an atmosphere conducive to inspiring the students to recognize and attain their goals through the development of their God given talents and abilities. We also promote an atmosphere in which the students respect the talents and abilities of others.

We strongly urge parental and community cooperation and support in our spiritual and educational endeavors.

The Three R's

Top

Here at Holy Trinity, our staff continually incorporates the three R’s of our school, Religion, Respect and Responsibility. These are values that build enthusiasm for learning as well as assisting our students in attaining their full potential.

Religion is incorporated not only through the daily teachings of scripture, it is taught throughout all learning. Students attend Mass at least once a week.

Respect is taught for one and all, and is something that does not stop with the individual, it reaches much further. Students learn to respect their environment as well one another through community service projects. Students learn how to become strong individuals as well as wonderful citizens.
