Mark King fell in love with the melodies and hooks of music from the Weezer video in 1994. He knew that he had to learn how to rock and how to play the guitar. About two weeks later, he was in a band. He was in this band until he went to college. He didn't want to go to college but his parents would pay for his car if he went. Four years later, he had paid off his car and had received a four year degree in music. He took that car and moved to Oklahoma City to go to a recording school. He graduated there in 2004, just after he had become a member of Hinder. From there, his life just got better. After three shows, they already had a record deal.
