Anna Sophia Robb was born December 8th, 1993. Before she began her acting career, she competed in gymnastics and Irish dancing. Anna has always loved to dance and has excelled in jazz, hip-hop, breakdancing, and of course, the Irish jig. Anna's first experiences in acting were commercials. After that, she played significant roles in some not so significant movies. Some of these movies are Daddy's Day and Samantha:An American Girl Holiday. Her next movie was a big hit. Anna played Opal in the movie Because of Winn Dixie. Anna got her next role because of her stellar gymnastics skills. She was cast as Violet in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She had the priveledge of working alongside Jonny Depp who played Willy Wonka. Anna also has some experience singing. Anna even has a song on the soundtrack of Bridge To Terabithia, her newest movie. Josh Hutcherson starred alongside her in this film. She has become great friends with him. Anna does not have enough time to continue competing in gymnastics and the Irish jig anymore, but she still enjoys singing, snowboarding, rafting, and reading. Her favorite types of books are fantasy and historical fiction. Anna used to be homeschooled, but now attends a small private school in Colorado. Anna has a bright future in acting, it will be awhile before we see the last of her. |
