Josh Hutcherson was born in Union, Kentucky on October 12, 1992. Josh has a younger brother Connor. He also has a few pets including a dog named Diesel and two cats named Jell-O and Paws. He also has a turtle. Josh had been interested in acting since he was four years old but he didn't start auditioning until 2002. Josh is homeschooled. He has said this has helped to keep him grounded.
Josh Hutcherson is only 14 years old, but he has already accomplished a lot. He has appeared in numerous movies including RV where worked with Robin Williams. This is an opportunity that many actors never experience. Josh also starred in the movie Zathura alongside actress Kristen Stewart.
Josh's most recent movie is Bridge to Terabithia. He plays Jess Aarons who's life is turned upside down when he befriends the new kid in school, who just happens to be a girl (AnnaSophia Robb). Together they create the magical land of Terabitha, complete with trolls and other magical beings.
Josh has a new film coming out scheduled for release in 2007. He plays a teenager who stumbles upon a stray dog who used to be a movie stunt dog. This dog's unique abilities make him a hero at the firehouse. This movie is currently in theaters and is doing well in the box offices. Josh has a movie called Journey 3D coming out in 2008. In the near future he will be filming a movie called Winged Creatures. Information has not yet been released about the content of this movie, but it is sure to be another good one.
